Embiid, Maxey Lead Philly to 112-106 Victory Over Knicks
Game Summary
The Philadelphia 76ers kicked off their Eastern Conference playoff series with a 112-106 victory over the New York Knicks Saturday night.
Joel Embiid led the way for the 76ers, scoring 50 points on 18-of-25 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. Tyrese Maxey also had a big night, adding 46 points for Philadelphia.
The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson, who scored 35 points. Julius Randle added 27 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 76ers' firepower.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Monday night in Philadelphia.
