Embiid leads Philly to victory in Ben Simmons return

With their 102-97 win over the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3 on Thursday night the Philadelphia 76ers took a commanding 3-0 lead in the first round.

Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and De'Anthony Melton led the 76ers to a 121-99 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Embiid finished with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Maxey added 25 points and 6 rebounds. Melton chipped in with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The 76ers were able to take control of the game early on, as they jumped out to a 15-point lead in the first quarter. They continued to lead by double digits for the rest of the game, as they never allowed the Nets to get any closer than 10 points.

The Nets were led by Kevin Durant, who finished with 25 points. However, Durant was not able to get much help from his teammates, as Kyrie Irving was held to just 16 points and Seth Curry was held to just 10 points.

The 76ers will now look to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night at the Barclays Center.
