Anna Kalinskaya has advanced to the third round of the 2024 US Open after defeating Anna Bondar in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. The Russian player has been in impressive form throughout the tournament so far and will now face Ons Jabeur in the next round.

Kalinskaya broke Bondar's serve twice in the first set and held her own serve comfortably to take the opener 6-4. She continued to dominate in the second set, breaking Bondar's serve early on and holding her own to eventually seal the victory.

The 24-year-old Kalinskaya is now enjoying her best-ever run at the US Open. She has never reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament before and will be looking to continue her impressive form against Jabeur.

Jabeur, the world number two, will be a tough opponent for Kalinskaya, but the Russian will be confident after her impressive win over Bondar. The Tunisian player has been in excellent form this year, winning the Madrid Open and reaching the final of Wimbledon.

The match between Kalinskaya and Jabeur is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 30. The winner will face either Jessica Pegula or Victoria Azarenka in the fourth round.
