Gender Test-Failing Boxers to Fight in Paris

IOC Gives "Free Pass" to Khelif and Lin

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has granted permission for two boxers who previously failed gender eligibility tests to compete in the upcoming Paris Olympics. Imane Khelif of Algeria and Taiwan's Lin Yu-Ting have been given the green light by the IOC to face female opponents.

Controversial Decision

The decision has sparked controversy, as footage has emerged of Khelif landing brutal shots on her opponents. Critics argue that she poses a safety risk and should not be allowed to fight women. However, the IOC maintains that the boxers have met the required eligibility criteria.

Second Olympic Games for Both

Both Khelif and Lin are competing at their second Summer Games. They both finished outside the medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but are hoping to make a stronger showing in Paris.
