New ICD-10 Code for Extranodal Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma

What is Extranodal Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma?

Extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (MALT lymphoma) is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that occurs outside of the lymph nodes. It is most commonly found in the stomach, but can also occur in other organs such as the lungs, skin, and salivary glands.

New ICD-10 Code

In the 2024 edition of ICD-10-CM, a new code has been created to specifically identify extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma. The new code is C8300.

This new code will help to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and reimbursement for this type of lymphoma.
